3. “They left the town, master,” Sidda said.

5. “Have you done it ?” asked Leela.
Ans: Leela asked if he (Sidda) had done it.

C. Split into Simple Sentences:
1.Sidda was hanging about the gate at a moment when Mr. Sivasanker was standing in the front veranda of his house, brooding over the servant problem.
